The improvements and restoration of the historic Greek Theatre include the restoration of the main entrance facade to its original 1930 design. They also include expanding the existing basement to add a dining room with a kitchen, dressing rooms, a workshop with storage, the expansion and modernization of the existing public restrooms, and adding a facelift to the existing Administration Building.

The overall improvements are in accordance with the requirements of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Historic Preservation. The architectural design focuses on restoring and enhancing the original classic Greek vocabulary.

The renovation and expansion nearly doubled the seating capacity of the 20 year old theater to 363 seats in the conversion from a flexible to a permanent arrangement. Public areas were expanded to include intermission areas and disabled patron accessibility. The functional portions of the 27,165 square foot theater, including stage and storage, were expanded at the same time. Mechanical and electrical services were upgraded to meet the demands of the expanded facility. A ceramics studio was incorporated into the lower portion of the building.

This 9,000-seat, 138,656 square foot multi-use facility provides maximum comfort, convenience, and sight lines for spectators, low operational and maintenance costs, and flexible reconfigurations for staging sports and entertainment events. The design emphasizes economy, simplicity, and standardization to minimize construction costs. The facility includes two food and beverage lobbies, a bar and lounge, reception area, boosters lounge, press box, team locker rooms, star dressing rooms, an indoor jogging track, staff offices, and storage.

Originally designed by The Luckman Partnership in 1967, this 152,460 square foot column-free sports and exhibition facility is one of the primary arenas in southern California. It accommodates a large variety of attractions, including circuses, rodeos, concerts, ice shows, track meets, concerts, and conventions in addition to athletic events such as basketball and hockey. Our continuing services to the Forum include renovations and reconfiguration studies, addition of a child care center, and an ADA survey.
