Position:  Job Captain

 Responsibilities:  Responsible for the coordination, supervision, and quality-control review of the (CAD) drafting activities for the production of working drawings from Design Development through Construction Documents and Bidding Phases.  Assists in the preparation of technical specifications. Coordinates the work of outside engineering consultants.  Assist Project Architect/Project Manager in plan check and agency approval processes. May be called upon to continue on specific projects in the Construction Administration Phase.  Receives general direction from Project Architect/Project Manager but must be capable of working independently on projects. 

Requirements:  Requires thorough knowledge of architectural drafting, detailing, construction methods and materials, and of codes and regulations.  Requires working knowledge of engineering systems sufficient to perform coordination of the work of outside consultants.  Must be proficient in 2-D CAD (AutoCAD 2000 or higher) drafting.  3-D CAD knowledge is a plus.  

Experience:  Minimum of 5 years at a senior CAD production level position in Type I and V construction.  DSA experience desirable.  California Architect license desirable but not mandatory.

Education:  Accredited degree in architecture or equivalent work experience.

HOURS:                        Full Time
